I am spending a long stretch in ThailandLaw and Government
Task prompt
I am spending a long stretch in Thailand working remotely for a company based elsewhere, and I need to know at what point the Thai tax system starts to apply to me and what it applies to, because I am told it depends both on how long I stay and on whether I move money into the country. I also keep hearing that some foreigners need a clearance document from the tax authority before they are allowed to leave, and I cannot tell whether that applies to everyone or only to certain cases. Use the revenue department's own English pages for all of it. Parts of those pages look old, so wherever a figure or table carries a note about which tax years it applies to, record that note alongside the figure and say plainly that it may no longer be current rather than presenting it as today's rule. One of the pages states a rule and then states an exemption that swallows most of it, so read both and tell me which governs. Give me a calendar of obligations with the trigger for each.
