Task prompt

I want to get into classic literature but don't know where to begin. Help me choose five beginner-friendly classic books that are freely available to read online. Use Project Gutenberg as the primary source and select books from its classics collection. Focus on books that are relatively approachable for a first-time reader of classic literature. For each book, find the author, approximate publication year, genre, and a short description of what the book is about. Check that the full book is available to read online through Project Gutenberg. Rank the five books from best starting point to least suitable starting point for someone new to classic literature. Base the ranking on factors such as readability, length, narrative accessibility, and how approachable the subject matter is. Do not rank them simply according to popularity. Give me a short explanation for each ranking and identify one book as the best starting point. Do not purchase or download anything.
